Paul and Mary Parker and their children live in a residential block in metro Adelaide. Both parents work and the children have a busy schedule of after school activities. One day, Mary noticed the children coming in from the garden with muddy feet, event though it had not been raining. When questioned, they reported that a patch of lawn was waterlogged. Paul investigated for the cause of the leak. The backyard tap was firmly off. Mary checked the water meter and found it to be ticking regularly. Upon inspection of her last water bill, she could calculate that their usage was unusually high. Meanwhile, Paul discovered a crack in the pipe at the base that had been leaking for some time. After a quick conference, they called Flowtec Plumbing and Gas, who arrived within the hour to replace the damaged pipe.
